Clean and Simple Notes-Just for you

Good Monday Morning! Hope you're enjoying the final days of summer. I can't believe that Autumn's almost upon us. You can feel the crispness in the air and it's starting to get dark here just after 8 p.m. I must say that i've enjoyed a wonderful summer, but I always look forward to Sweater Weather!

Today, I've created this simple not card using the Just for You stamp from the Moments in Time Line

To keep your images simple and to cut down on colouring time, try shading the image just a bit to add dimension. I used BG10 to do this, but cool gray works well too!

I added Fuchsia Flower Soft for the Flowers and Shamrock Green for the Foliage. Initially I added my Fuchsia mix to the bouquet, then went in and added the Shamrock Green. I found the green a little overpowering, so I simply added more Fuchsia, which gave me a fuller bouquet and became the predominant colour again. Lesson: If you're not quite happy with the result you achieve, just let your area dry for a bit and add more!

The card itself is very simple. I cut the image with my nestabilities. Then I decided to use my Copic Airbrush system to do the shading around the edge of the card. The DP is Lily Kate from Basic Grey and I edged the paper with a SU border Punch!

Have a lovely week and I'll be back next monday with another little project for you!

Happy Stamping

Flower Soft makes it stunning

There are so many fast and easy ways to give a project a little touch of Flower Soft and the result can be amazing.
For this card, I stamped the flower and leaves, using colored stamp pads.  The stamps are solid so when this image was stamped, there was a red/pink flower and green leaves.  All I needed to then do was to thoroughly coat that stamped image with the Tacky Glue and then add the Flower Soft to the areas with glue.  In order to keep the colors separate, I did do the flower part first and let that dry and then coated the leaves and let that dry, shaking off the excess Flower Soft before moving on to the second color.
Because I used colored ink for the flower and leaves, you can see that color peeking through the Flower Soft that is the same color as the inks.  The inks and the Flower Soft end up complimenting each other.

Nursery Rhymes.

These rhymes have been around since before I was a young girl. Yes, as long as that!
Most of us in the U.K. have been taught them sitting on our mothers knee, as I did with my two boys.
I'm now loving teaching them to my grandson Joseph.

Just imagine the pleasure of then having the beautiful scenes to accompany them, beautifully created by Rikey Austin, for us all then to enjoy!

The addition of Flower Soft and Ultra Fine totally brings your story to life.

Just take a peek into the wonderful world of make believe and see all the gorgeous images that are available
to you as downloads.

Materials used;
Flower Soft glue
Flower Soft (various colours)
Ultra Fine (various Colours)
Little Miss Muffet download

The great thing about these is that you can use all of the colours of Flower Soft and Ultra Fine that you will have.
Looking forward to next week,
take care until then,
lots of love,
Noreen.

Flower Soft makes the fruit look touchable!

I hope you went on the blog hop that the Flower Soft team did with the Impression-Obsession stamp team this last wednesday. If you didn't, it is not too late. There is so much inspiration on using both the stamps and the Flower Soft and there are prizes to be had!

I wanted to share with you the card that I did for the hop. I know you did see it if you went the entire hop, but if you didn't have time, here it is.  I love the Refreshment set of stamps that I was able to play with. This is just two of the stamps in the set.  I stamped the pitcher with black ink, embossed it with clear embossing powder, colored in portions with Copic markers and then added in my Ultra Fine Flower Soft here and there.

I just loved how well these Cosmo Cricket patterned papers went with my theme.

Notice I only added the Flower Soft to portions of the various fruit pieces and the umbrellas? That way my images showed and you get still the great look of the Flower Soft accents.

The Versatility of Flower Soft

A very happy Sunday to each and every one of YOU!! I hope you have had a delighful weekend and are looking forward to a marvelous week.

I wanted to share a wee set I just made of a card and matching papier mache box which uses Flower Soft in a couple of ways and also uses one of the accessories. You will see that on the card I grounded the character image with Koala Gray Ultra Fine Flower Soft which approximates a shadow as well as gives much dimension to the setting. I also used a little bit of the Flower Soft 2 mm Lilac Silk Ribbon to tie the sheet music. On the box, I used Lilac Flower Soft in the centers of the wild roses to give them much more depth.

Please mark your calendar for this Wednesday, August 11 for a very exciting Blog Hop when the Flower Soft DT meets the Impression Obsession DT for a FUN event. We would love to see you then!

Until the next time, take care and be safe....Jacque

Hello there!
Today I'm going to show you a fun (and very easy) way to make Flower Soft borders.

I applied 1/4′ Score Tape (high tack tape) along the sides of my card and applied Summer Mix Flower Soft to make fuzzy borders. When adding flower soft to adhesive tape you'll need to press it into the tape to get it to stick well. Once it is adhered it sticks very well. I also added a Gold Peel off sticker to each edge. Flower Soft carries a large line of these stickers. They are so easy and fun to work with.

Fluffy Feathers!

Good Monday Morning! Here in Canada, we're enjoying a long weekend, so I apologize if the posts up a tad late! I enjoyed a wonderful getaway with my guy to his hometown, meeting some of his Childhood Friends and Family! It was a short trip, but so nice to meet the people I've been hearing about for quite some time!

I wanted to show you this project because I used the Ultrafine Strawberry Flowersoft to add some texture to the Feather's on this sweet lady's hat!

Even using a touch of Flower Soft here and there, can make a difference on your project!

Hope you have a lovely week!
