Lavender Papercraft Kit

Hi all,

hope you are all fit and well. It's still cold and miserable in the UK but it's warm indoors for crafting!

Working with beautiful images like the Lavender collection always cheers me up as you can almost smell the summer.! So, thinking about it, wouldn't that have the same effect on the person you send your completed card to? How priceless to be able to send all those lovely thoughts in an envelope.

Working with gorgeous designs, as well as being able to use the Spellbinders dies to cut them out with perfection, makes for amazing results.

Of all the things Flower Soft have ever made, the one thing that people always comment on when they see them made up is the flower stems. So versatile, they can be placed directly onto cards, scrapbooks etc as I have done on this card, but they can also be put into our Pots and Urns toppers, Vases pack and also made up into tiny bouquets which are so adorable!

Take a peek at this weeks http://www.flower-soft.tv/ to see just how easy this card is to make and see all the other examples in our gallery.

Lots of love , take care until next week,

Noreen.

Tutorial: Layering Flower Soft

Below are some photos of the process of creating this card, which uses several colors of Flower Soft on the focal panel... hopefully it will give you some help and ideas for mixing and layering Flower Soft on your projects! This image is from the Country Village Download.
Those are the steps I used!

Some tips:

--If you only have one shade of green, that would work just as well. Additional shades add to the depth of the scene, but if you have lighter colors, you can actually shade the Flower Soft **after the glue is dry** using alcohol markers.

--In the last step, I added Sand Flower Soft to the whole scene. This isn't really necessary... but I think it adds a bit of highlight and also gives a more vintage look. If you only have bright colors to work with, mixing them with Sand will give the area a lighter appearance.

If you have questions, please feel free to ask them here!

Love is .....In the Air!

How many different ways do we show our love?

It may be towards our children, sisters, brothers, friends, husbands....the list goes on and on.

That is why the Charlies Ark stamp set used in todays show is such a valuable edition to your craft box. You, like me, will find so many uses for the seven individual stamps in the set that it will be something you pick up time after time.

Today we are thinking particularly of Valentine's Day for this really beautiful card.

I would take a look at http://www.flower-soft.tv/ for this show especially, as the gallery of cards is so impressive and will certainly give you lots of inspiration.

At the moment we are getting ready for our trip to the C.H.A. in California (which I am very much looking forward to). So, if you're coming, then please take the time to call at our booth to say hello. I would really be plesed to meet you, and you can also do a great make and take whilst you are there! You can find us at booth#2803.

Lots of love until next time,

Noreen.

whole or part?

Just wanted to share how versatile the Charlie's Ark "I Love You" set can be - here are two cards I created using the same set:The first card is watercolored using reinkers, as a winter scene (with Polar White snow and an Ultrafine Sage shag carpet!).

A card in the Flower Soft idea gallery inspired the second card - it was a bit tedious, but I love the results. I wanted to use just part of the "I Love You" image so I carefully colored just Charlie with a Marvy LePlume II marker. (If you didn't want to have to be so careful with a marker, you could stamp the whole image, and just cut Charlie out.) I used my Stamp-a-ma-jig to position the bird on Charlie's finger (the bird is from one of the Moments in Time Christmas sets, called Little Friend), and also colored just his outline with a marker. I colored the image with Touch Twin Markers.
Hope this inspires you to look at your stamps in a different way today!

Flower Soft and Card Positioning Systems

This little guy is from Flower Soft's Moments in Time stamp line - the set is called Best Fishes. I did my watercoloring with reinkers, and I attempted a little lake scene behind him as well, then stamped Porcelain Crackle (Impression Obsession) over the whole scene for a vintaged look. The little border I tucked in is cut with a Fiskars rotary cutter. I used the sketch from CPS (#200) this week - Flower Soft is this week's sponsor, so if you're looking to increase your stash of fluffy stuff, check there for another chance to win!

I used teeny strips of paper to 'thread' my buttons... I did use Flower Soft on my card, but only a tiny bit - right at the 'splash' where his fishing line meets the water, there's a pinch of Polar White.

Come visit us tomorrow for another Flower Soft Sprinkle Challenge!

Gus and Gus!

Good Morning! Hope that you all enjoyed a nice weekend..........ahhh back to the grind this week, all festivities are over at my house.........looks like Gus and Gus are back in action too! These two images are from Totally Stampalicious..........Mr. Fixit and New Truck Gus.

I created the scene by Using a Top Note Diecut as a mask to create a border for the sky and grass. I then sponged in Green, Grey and Blue Ink. Grass was made by using strokes of Green Copic. Additional dimension was created in the grass by using some Ultrafine Sage Flowersoft. I love how just a sprinkle of Flower Soft here and there can add so much to a creation!

Happy Stamping!
