Wow...how many days to Christmas?!!!!!!!

Hi again everyone,

hope I havn't frightened you to death by the title! I know it's not long to Christmas though. Something else that I know is that you are really going to love the 12 Bears of Christmas download available from Friday. The images are so cute they are a real pleasure to work with.

Take a look at the card created by the lovely Sheena, it truly is one of the most sophisticated cards I have ever seen created! You might just guess I love, love, love this card!

When you see how easily Sheena takes us through step by step to make up the card you will be thrilled to use the same techniques time after time.

I personally have learnt so much from this very talented lady I know, like me, that your going to be so pleased to add these tips and hints to your crafting skills.

Just a little dab will do wonders!

There are so many really great Flower Soft products to use the Flower Soft with. Great, pre-colored toppers, rubber stamp images and downloadable projects.  Everyone of these make for the perfect project to add touches of Flower Soft too.  BUT...you aren't limited to just those products.  Be on the lookout for every way that Flower Soft can be used to bring an added accent.
My example uses very simple elements on a card.

First of all, I had punched a border from yellow cardstock.  The scallop punch has an embossed edge to it.  I just ran a line of the Flower Soft Tacky Glue along one of the embossed scallops and then added some Citrus Crush Ultra Fine Flower Soft.
The little mommy duck with her little ducklings are from a piece of patterned paper by October Afternoon.  I put a little dash of the same Ultra Fine Flower soft on the wings of the two ducklings.

The card would have been complete without the Flower Soft, but just look at the fun element that it added.  An element that the recipient of the card will be taken with, for sure.

Thanks for visiting, Linda (lbpost)

Autumn/Fall Scenic Windows

Hi everyone, it's nearly Flower Soft Friday!

This week we are making amazing 3D type cards from the beautifully printed Autumn scenes viewed through your open window!

You'll find that they fit so many occassions that you will be constantly making them up, e.g. Fathers Day, husbands, brothers etc through to Get Well or simply "Thinking of you". As well as being such good value,
(you get 4 designs twice in each pack) the art work is inspirational.

Very easy to decoupage/paper tole so if you've never tried this technique then now is the time to have a go. The
pieces are all numbered in order of layering so it really couldn't be easier.

The simplicity of it will amaze you, as well as the stunning results created by you to your finished masterpiece.

Along side all of this creativity we then put Sheena in the mix! What this lady doesn't know about inking
really isn't woth worrying about. Combined with the excuisite printed toppers you will be further inspired to
see what Sheena does to give even more depth, dimension and a unique look to your finished project.

Tune in this coming Friday to this weeks http://www.flower-soft.tv/ to be entertained and inspired.

Sit back relax and enjoy.

Blessings on you and yours until next week.

Lots of love, Noreen.

Getting Sticky With Flower Soft

Happy Labour Day! This is the weekend that marks the end of the summer for me. I can't believe that Autumn is coming on so quickly, but the chill was in the air here for sure!!! Autumn is my favourite season, but I'll miss the balmy summer days for sure.

I discovered a neat alternative to using glue for flower soft application. I have been using double sided tape for many years to add glittery strips to my card. I do this when I want to create a very even border. I decided to give it a whirl with my Lilac Flower Soft the other day and it worked like a dream! After laying the tape down, I applied the flower soft. I then took a piece of scrap paper, placed it over the area and used it to apply pressure to the tape strip! I like the look I achieved and the convenience of creating a straight border so quickly!

Don't forget that Flower Soft is now a member company on Splitcoaststampers. Be sure to pop into our forums and say hello!

Happy Stamping!

Talk about colors!

We have been talking about colors this week, colors of Flower Soft that is.  And who would guess that Toffee Ultra Fine Flower Soft could look so neat?

The little vase and plant stamps are by PaperTrey, Inc.  The patterned paper is also by PaperTrey, Inc and the cardstock base on the card is Core Impressions by Core'dinations. It already has that great embossed design in it.  All I did was ink the vase and stamp that and then stamped those long plants to look like they are inside the vase BUT...can you see how cool that Toffee Brown Ultra Fine Flower Soft looks dabbed on the little puffs on the plant?
Here is a close-up! That Flower Soft makes the entire card, don't you think? Those plants just should be fuzzy and there isn't a better or easier way to get that look then Flower Soft. For this, all that was needed were little drops of the Tacky Glue and then I sprinkled the Flower Soft onto the glue dots. I like to shake the paper around a bit and to gently tap the Flower Soft into the glue to make sure I get a whole lot of it sticking to the glue as it dries.

Don't forget, you can still do the blog hop from Wednesday, there is a whole lot of goodness to see.

Thanks for visiting, Linda Beeson, Design Team member

Tricks and Treats!

Fun and spiders don't very often come up in the same sentence with me (if at all!)
I'm O.K. with spiders as long as they keep their distance!

That all changed with the help of Sheena in making this bewitching card. What a
wealth of information that lady really is!
Not only are we learning new techniques, but the way these techniques are described
are simply explained for us to do on our own.

If that's not enough, you're then able to get your download to re-create this card time after time!
Trick or Treat?
The tricks are explained to you and the treat will be yours when you proudly send out your masterpiece.

Materials list;
Flower Soft download Haunted House.
Flower Soft wires
Flower Soft glue.
Black Flower Soft.
Black ultra fine glitter (optional)
Rangers distress inks.
Water brush.
