Fall Flowers and some Flower Soft

I love the colors of FALL!

 I wanted to share a card I created using a wonderful fall flower.  The label image is a digital stamp by Hero Arts that I bought at Two Peas in a Bucket.  It comes all colored, it just needs printed out. 

Once I printed it out, it was already colored but I just knew that adding in some Flower Soft on portions of the flower would finish off the card just right.  I picked out a few of the petals and added Burnt Sienna Ultra Fine Flower Soft and then picked out a few more petals and added Citrus Crush Ultra Fine Flower Soft.  I didn't add the Flower Soft to every petal because I didn't want it to be overwhelming, just a nice accent.

Country Flower Shop

I made a yellow card to cheer myself up on a particularly gloomy day - this little flower shop from the Country Village Topper collection is so inviting. I used Meadow, Lemon, Citrus Crush, and Earth Flower Soft to add dimension to the scene, and a Sakura glaze pen on the window and door.

A few little flowers and some Flower Soft

This card is a bit on the simple side yet aren't those little flowers fun. 

 Flower Soft is the sponsor for this past week at Card Positioning Systems blog, so I used that sketch for the inspiration for my card.  I took a few of the little punch out flowers from the Die Cut Dimensions - Wild Flowers 2 set.  These sets are so easy to work with and the flowers are so pretty.  You get quite a few flowers in each set so I just used some of them for my card decoration. 

I layered one of the flowers.  Most of the punch out flowers in this set have areas that are meant to be raised for added dimension, so I did that too. Notice the middles of the flowers have Flower Soft on them, the perfect way to add a little bit of elegance.  I put it all together with Scrap Dots by Helmar. This is a great product to use to get some added dimension.  The scallop circle piece and the leaves are cut with the Cricut, Home Decor cartridge.

Country Village Kit

Always seem to be in need of a thank you card... here was a quick one using Flower Soft products - the Cobblestone paper and the main image are part of the Country Village Papercraft Kit. (This kit is also available as a printable download.) I cut a frame using a Spellbinders die, added Lemon, Meadow, and Citrus Crush Flower Soft, and finished off the card with a satin bow and a sentiment from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps. Quick and easy!

Did you enjoy the previews of the new products? If you're a Facebook fan, you may have seen another announcement of new colors to come - are you excited?!! I am!! Here's another card made with the new Die Cut Dimensions 2 - I used the individual flowers to create a border on a strip of drywall tape, with some mixed patterned papers. The sentiment is from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps, and is stamped on a Quickutz die cut. I dyed the seam binding with chalk inks and Touch Twin markers.

More Die Cut Dimensions

I wanted to share another card made with elements from Die Cut Dimensions Wildflowers 2 - I stamped the panel with a favorite verse from Heart and Soul Rubber Stamp Co., embossed the flowers from the back, and sprinkled Citrus Crush Ultrafine Flower Soft in the flower centers. The card base is 5 inches by 6 inches, and the paper lace is the edge of a paper doily, cut around and straightened along the edge of the horizontal panel.

Here is my project :

I used my Sizzix eclips and the  Sizzix eclips Cartridge – Albums, Bags & Boxes to cut my bag. I added the phrase to the Die Cut Dimensions Wildflowers 2 (I stamped the sentiment it and traced because my handwriting is terrible!) and doodled the edge of the bag  with a green Sakura gelly Roll pen.  I adhered the Die Cut Dimensions Wildflowers 2 topper to my bag. I added Flower Soft glue and Ultra Fine Citrus Crush to flower centers and  Christmas Green and  Pale Green around flowers. Tie ribbon in bow and attach with a glue dot.

Here is my challenge card using  the new Flower Soft Die Cut Dimensions Wildflowers 2, Christmas Green, Ultra Fine Sage and  Ultra Fine Citrus Crush

I used the Sizzix eclips to cut the Yellow and Light Blue scallop circles and white circle. Sponge edge of circle with brown ink. Die cut sentiment from Dark Green cardstock. Attach to card. Shape the Die Cut Dimensions Wildflowers 2 punch outs with a stylus. Add Flower Soft glue and Ultra Fine Citrus Crush to flower centers and  Christmas Green and Pale Green around flowers. Tie ribbon in bow and attach with a glue dot.

A square card and a bumble bee

The Flower Soft challenge for this week is to make a square card.   It was posted here on Wednesday, April 6th but here is a reminder.  Entries must be uploaded to the SCS gallery and use at least one Flower Soft product (Flower Soft, toppers, stamps) to be eligible to win. This was an easy challenge for me since most of the cards I seem to create end up being square, usually 5 1/2".  I created a rather large daisy looking flower for my card using a 4-in-1 punch by Kreaxions. 

I just had to put the finishing touches on my card with an adorable little bumble bee.  My bumble bee is a stamp by Nikki Sivils, Scrapbooker and I knew this little cutie wasn't complete without some wonderful Ultra Fine Flower Soft wings.

Easter Fun

The Easter Fun Toppers are a new addition to Flower Soft's decoupage line. Love the cute artwork on these!! Each sheet (8 in the package) comes with all the layers that are needed to create a dimensional focal piece for cards or other projects. In the photo below you can see the dimension that I added by embossing and shaping each piece with a stylus. The eggs on the topiary are 'popped' up with foam tape. I used Polar White and Pine Ultrafine in the pot, more Polar White on the bunny's tail, and Citrus Crush on her flower wreath. A little clear glaze ink brightens up her eyes, too.

My decoupage piece is mounted on a Spellbinders die cut (Nestabilities Blossoms 1), and I used a sentiment from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps on the tag.

Easter Fun

This week's Sprinkle challenge over at the Flower Soft Forum (FSC24) is to use Flower Soft on your Easter cards. We'd love to have you join us, wherever that theme takes your imagination!

For my card I've used Flower Soft's new Easter Fun decoupage kit - Each sheet has all the pieces you need to create a layered, dimensional scene, and the artwork is super cute!

I used foam tape in between my layers, and shaped the pieces here and there with the wooden end of my ball stylus. You can get more of an idea of the dimension in the picture below. I also used Polar White Flower Soft on the egg shell, and Citrus Crush Ultrafine in the flower centers.

Just for You at Flower Soft and Sneak Peek at New Digi Papers!!

A very Happy Sunday to YOU!! I am thrilled to be the first on the Flower Soft blog to give you a wee sneak peek of the absolutely darling digi papers which match all the the Moments in Time line of stamps and toppers! There are so many exciting things happening at Flower Soft that you certainly want to check back to our blog often so you don't miss some of the excitement!! Not only will there be new products but Flower Soft TV will be coming very soon so I hope you will come over and sign up for all of the updates--there will be a magnificent prize for some lucky follower and special deals for all participants!

For my card today I used Bazzill for the base, all matting is SU, and the darling image Just for You was stamped on Cryogen White and colored with Copics to match the new, lovely digi papers which will be available from Flower Soft very soon!! I added a touch of Gold Stickles to the lace, Lilac, Lavender, Citrus Crush and Raspberry Fizz for all the flowers, and a mixture of Shamrock Green and Pale Green to highlight the grass. The image was propped up on a MS Quilted Punch Around tthe Page and yellow pearls were added to the junctures as well as to all corners of the card. To add vertical interest, I added a stripe from one of the new digi papers, using small lavender bows and yellow organza butterflies. To finish the front I added floral treatments using yellow pleated flowers by Maya Road.
