Merry Christmas

I cannot believe that Christmas is only a couple of days away!  It's wonderful here.  We have a bit of snow on the ground and school is finally out.  All of the shopping is completed.  Now it's time to sit back and enjoy the family and the season.  :)

Let's Celebrate!

Hey Peeps!  Back with more CUTE Christmas Trees.  Take a peek at Jeanne's ADORABLE creation....



The little pop of Poppy Red at the top of the trees is perfect and I love the Polar White 'snow'.  This is such a perfect Christmas card.  It is one that can easily be recreated for many.  Perfect for this time of year.

Clean Lampost

Hey Peeps!  We are back with another ADORABLE sample with the Lampost stamp.  Take a peek at the clean look that Cibele designed....

I LOVE this!  The image is beautiful and with such an understated take the whole card is so very elegant.  Here's a close up....

I love that from this view you can see that Cibele embossed the lamp with gold embossing powder.  The added touch of the red ribbon is perfection.

Fun With Santa

Santa.... & Announcing Vicki!

Hey Peeps!  Back with more from the Santa Topper line....with a little EXCITING announcement!  Ack!  I've been sitting on this SO long!  I've been dying to share!  Vicki Harper has joined our design team!  I'm SO excited about this!   She's such a talented card maker/scrapbooker.  She's up with today's sample.  Take a peek at what she created with the Santa Toppers....

My Christmas LIst

Christmas tinsel

Christmas tree image are so fun to decorate with Flower Soft! Here are two cards using the same image (from Our Daily Bread designs), but decorated very differently. You can find out more about these cards on my blog, Mama Dini's Stamperia. The direct links are below each picture.
My first card is colored with Touch Twin Markers and decorated with Gold Flower Soft from the Diamond Range. I also used gold Peel-Offs around the edge of the main panel.
This card was colored using Touch Twin Markers, and decorated with Silver Flower Soft from the Diamond Range.

Same image, two very different effects! I love the sparkle and dimension that the Flower Soft gives!

Snow Globe toppers

Here's a fun little die-cut card featuring the Christmas Snow Globe toppers - these toppers are made to be used with the dimensional Display Globes, but they can be used alone or in a frame like I've created here with Spellbinders dies.A couple of angled shots to show the dimension you can create with these decoupage kits - I used glitter and Polar White Flower Soft to add snow to the scene.

Christmas Tree Pyramid tutorial

OK! Here's the tutorial I promised last week on assembling the Christmas Tree Pyramid cards. You'll need to start by cutting out the pyramid panel, and scoring from the point to the opposite angles, as shown:
Next, you'll cut out the decoupage pieces - each piece is numbered so you can keep them in order as you cut them out. I find it easiest to cut with a craft knife.

Here are all the cut out pieces, ready to shape and assemble on the card.
Take each piece, turn it over, and add some dimension by laying it on a foam pad and pressing into it - I used the wooden end of my embossing stylus, but you could use a rounded pen cap, or anything else with a similar shape.
Turn the pieces face up and press into the top of each piece - this will make the bottom rise a little, and also flatten out the top so it's easier to glue to the card.
The tree on the pyramid has some red lines across it - these are the guidelines for attaching the cut out pieces. Beginning at the bottom, line up the pieces one at a time to create the tree.
Here's the card with all the pieces attached.
Working one section at a time, add Polar White Flower Soft to the tree... I used a little glitter as well. Here's my snowy tree....
