Joy to the World

I love the soft look that Sweet Pea Flower Soft gives these Vintage Christmas images!Layout is courtesy of Splitcoaststampers, sentiment is from Impression Obsession.
Sadly, this will be my last post on the Flower Soft blog, as I'll be focusing my energies elsewhere in the coming year... if you like my work, I hope you'll continue to follow me at my blog, Mama Dini's Stamperia! I'm sure you'll still see lots of Flower Soft there! Many thanks to Flower Soft for their generosity, and for allowing me to showcase their products... and big hugs to my fellow designers! Love you girls, and hope to meet some of you in person next year!

Many blessings to you all in the New Year -

Happy Holidays! FSC43

Hey Peeps! Time for another Flower Soft challenge! This weeks challenge, to make a project geared around the holidays. Hopefully you are all having a WONDERFUL holiday! Life can get so crazy this time of year. It can be so easy to forget what it's a
ll about. I've really enjoyed having some quiet time to reflect on all of the many blessings my family has....that often comes between times of complete chaos....but maybe that's why those moments are so very special! ;-)

I've had a bit of extra time to get in a little paper crafting. I pulled out a topper from the Cute Christmas line for my card today....

Hope you all have a chance to play. This week we are playing for a pot of Polar White Flower Soft and a package of Display Globes. LOVE these globes! They are great for soooo many things! As always, link your card to this post to be included for this weeks challenge. A winner will be chosen next Wednesday so be on the lookout for an email announcing if it's you! If you are uploading your creations to SCS please use the keyword FSC43.

Check out the rest of the DT to see what they have created....

FSC41 - Think Snow

Are you thinking snow? It's that time of year and here in the Indianapolis area we are still waiting for substantial snowfall. For me, it just doesn't seem quite like the holidays until the ground is covered in the white stuff. This coming from a girl from the south!

This weeks Flower Soft challenge is to 'Think Snow'. We are all creating a little something with that in mind. I pulled out a little Polar White and one of my FAVORITE toppers, Window Shopping, and here's what I came up with.....

I love this image. I opted for a simple layout to really let the topper 'pop'. Here's a close up with the layers....

One of my favorite things about this kit is that the pieces are all die cut. I love that I don't have to cut each piece out. It makes for an easy assembly.

Be sure and check out the entire team:

Have a good one! :-)

Christmas tinsel

Christmas tree image are so fun to decorate with Flower Soft! Here are two cards using the same image (from Our Daily Bread designs), but decorated very differently. You can find out more about these cards on my blog, Mama Dini's Stamperia. The direct links are below each picture.
My first card is colored with Touch Twin Markers and decorated with Gold Flower Soft from the Diamond Range. I also used gold Peel-Offs around the edge of the main panel.
This card was colored using Touch Twin Markers, and decorated with Silver Flower Soft from the Diamond Range.

Same image, two very different effects! I love the sparkle and dimension that the Flower Soft gives!

Flowers and Flower Soft

One product that Flower Soft offers is downloads. I am using a flower set from a Floral Designs Download set.  There are several sets available and what is cool is there are quite a few different shapes in one set and they work with Spellbinders Nestabilities.
My card is created using the Clematis set.  I love the purples in the flowers.
After I cut the label shape out with my Spellbinders Nestabililties, I used extra flowers to layer the flowers and then accents them with Purple and Silver Ultra Fine Flower Soft.

Winter Chill

I love this blustery bear image from I Brake for Stamps - the image is colored with Touch Twin markers, and fuzzed up with a little Sand Ultrafine Flower Soft. I used Polar White on the snow, and added a little dimension to the image by cutting and embossing from behind. The sentiment is computer generated. Thanks for looking!

Snowy Christmas

I created this Snowy Scene card by starting with an image from the Christmas Snow Globe Kit. Perfect for Snowglobes, yet still versatile enough to create a card that has some dimension, but doesn't pose a problem with mailing!

As you can see, the kit allows for a lot of additional layers so that you can have added dimension in your card! Some Polar White Flower Soft, with just a Touch of Silver, finished off the winter scene quite nicely!

Have a great day!

This pumpkin cupcake would be a tasty Thanksgiving treat... I added Sand Ultra Fine Flower Soft to the cupcake wrapper for some crumb texture. All stamps are from Impression Obsession.

FSC40 - Winter Blues

Challenge time! Are you ready for another fun one? I hope you have the opportunity to play this week. This week you could win a pot of Polar White & Delphinium Blue Flower Soft & some Flower Soft glue! :-) All you need to do is play, and link your card to this post to be entered! You have until Wednesday the 30th {giving everyone a little extra time with the US holiday next week}.

This weeks challenge, Winter Blues. Any winter themed card using the color blue in some way. I decided to use one of the new kits that is soon to be released, the Mabel Lucie Atwell card kits. These release in the UK on Dec 6 and the US at CHA. Take a peek....

It's been so cold and rainy here {Indiana}. I'm ready for snow! Yup, I said it! Give me until January....the second to be precise!....and I will be OVER snow! For now, I cannot wait! We had a few flurries last week which was so exciting but it lasted such a short time and was replaced with nothing but rain! That's part of the reason I gravitated toward this image....that and that it's one of my new FAVS! I used this weeks CPS sketch to get me started also.

Be sure and check out what the rest of the team came up with....

Thanks for stopping by! Hope you all have a wonderful day!

Coming Soon!

I get so excited when I see new products. Don't you love CHA? Even if you aren't able to be there all the pictures that surface on the many blogs of all that is new and soon to be in our hot little hands. It's so exciting and like Christmas! While hanging out at the Flower Soft offices the other day I spied the CUTEST new product that will soon be released....so I carefully tucked it in my purse and snuck out the back...and....lol....NOT REALLY! Sue and Mark both know I have this and it is with their blessing I share it with you. It did sound sneaky though, didn't it? ;-) I'm actually about as sneaky as a mack truck so just smile and nod.So, here we go. The new, EXCITING, product! Aah! It's soooo super cute! Take a peek at one of the new card kits that Flower Soft will soon be releasing.......
.

How cute is this! Ok....first this kit is NOT available yet....but will be soooo soon! If you are in the UK you may pick one up for yourself on December 6 via the Create and Craft show....just a bit envious of my friends on the other side of the pond..... ;-) For all of us in the US, these cuties will be releasing at CHA and so we should be able to purchase them in February.

This is such an amazing kit. Included are the makings for 8 cards...including envelopes...AND pop up dots! ....LOTS of pop up dots! I tried to get it all in the picture above. I'm not sure if you can see all of it.Each sheet is uncoated so that you can add your own ink and coloring, just like all the toppers and paper kits from Flower Soft. The images....wowzers! How stinkin' cute are they!

These are images that were created by the late artist Mabel Lucie Attwell. I LOVE how whimsical the images are and the coloring is perfect! Each sheet of this kit shows you exactly where to score and cut your card stock if you are opting for a truly EPLS {easy peasy lemon squeezy} card and an additional image to allow you to cut out and 'pop up' for more dimension. The card on the left is what you will create by following the guides and popping up with the additional image on one sheet. Of course, you know me....

yup, a true lover of all things EPLS and CAS but also never one to stick to the rules. I took one of the other sheets and created this one....

<
Here's another one. With the basic card I simple scored and viola.....

I love that with this kit you have a ready to set of blank notecards. Something that is perfect in a pinch. But I REALLY love the ability to make it a bit more.....

There are a few more kits that I have seen already and they are all adorable. I can't wait to share more with you and REALLY am looking forward to the release of this one!

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Flower Soft Downloads

I was so excited to be working with the new Flower Soft downloads. I truly love digital images. One of the things I love is that they do not take space on my already over flowing desk! The BEST thing about them is the quick, ready made image. I love that you just open, print, and add to your project. I put together a quick little card for todays post using the Lily download and used my Spellbinders dies to 'punch' the image out. Take a peek....

That's it for me. Don't forget that today is the last day to play with last weeks challenge. Be sure and link your card HERE TODAY ;-) so that you can be entered to win the Winebuffs Papercraft kit. Hope you all have a wonderful day!

Hugs!

Lavender Gate Fold

Here's a card I made for the Hope You Can Cling To card drive at Splitcoaststampers last month - this is a gatefold card using the Lavender Papercraft Kit. This kit coordinates with Spellbinders dies, and they're so easy to line up - I don't have the scalloped ovals, but the classic ovals work just as well. I used Lilac Flower Soft on the focal panel, and the sentiment comes from Impression Obsession.

Thanks for looking!

I like my wine!

I wanted share a cute little card I made with the Wine Buffs kit and the Wine Cook Stamp Set
I coloured my image with my Touch Twin Markers and used a Circular Nestabilitie to cut out the woodgrained circle. Don't you love that fun DP? It comes in the paper crafting kit

A wee sprinkle of Polar White Flower Soft to the Cooks Chest, finishes the card off nicely I think!

Happy Stamping~

Fall Flowers and some Flower Soft

I love the colors of FALL!
I wanted to share a card I created using a wonderful fall flower.  The label image is a digital stamp by Hero Arts that I bought at Two Peas in a Bucket.  It comes all colored, it just needs printed out.
Once I printed it out, it was already colored but I just knew that adding in some Flower Soft on portions of the flower would finish off the card just right.  I picked out a few of the petals and added Burnt Sienna Ultra Fine Flower Soft and then picked out a few more petals and added Citrus Crush Ultra Fine Flower Soft.  I didn't add the Flower Soft to every petal because I didn't want it to be overwhelming, just a nice accent.
Thanks for visiting, Linda Beeson, Design Team member

Hope You Can Cling To

Flower Soft is one of the sponsors for Splitcoaststampers' annual card drive known as Hope You Can Cling To. Through a month-long series of challenges, participants create cards that are donated to the UT MD Austin Cancer Center so that patients in the breast cancer center can receive and share encouragement through the gift of a handmade card. You can find out more information about the card drive and challenges HERE.
Here is one of the cards I made as a sample for an upcoming challenge, using Diecut Dimensionals Wildflowers - the preprinted and diecut elements of the set are perfect for quick and beautiful cards. I cut a hole in the precut oval shape to frame the sentiment (smARTworks), and layered additional roses over the ones on the oval. Each flower was shaped with a large stylus. (For a tutorial, you can visit this post.) I sprinkled Ultrafine Sand Flower Soft in each flower center.

Thanks for visiting!
