Easter Fun

The Easter Fun Toppers are a new addition to Flower Soft's decoupage line. Love the cute artwork on these!! Each sheet (8 in the package) comes with all the layers that are needed to create a dimensional focal piece for cards or other projects. In the photo below you can see the dimension that I added by embossing and shaping each piece with a stylus. The eggs on the topiary are 'popped' up with foam tape. I used Polar White and Pine Ultrafine in the pot, more Polar White on the bunny's tail, and Citrus Crush on her flower wreath. A little clear glaze ink brightens up her eyes, too.
My decoupage piece is mounted on a Spellbinders die cut (Nestabilities Blossoms 1), and I used a sentiment from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps on the tag.
Happy Spring!

Walk around the Wine Buffs C.D.

Hi there,

If you are like me and thought that anything to do with C.D. meant Can't Do, then think again !

What I have come to understand from C.D.'s is that if you get a really good quality one that "self loads" then it is one of the easiest things to work from. At the moment the Wine Buffs C.D.Rom is only available for sale in the U.K. It has proved to be hugely popular, the main reason, I think, is that it is suited very much for the men in our lives and the humour it injects into card making takes your crafting to another level. The quality of the images gives a very professional finish and if that was not enough, then there are so many different shaped cards, stackers, vintage, contemporary etc. etc. etc.

So, take a walk around the Wine Buffs C.D. with Sue and see the amazing amount of toppers etc, that can be printed from this one C.D.

You will see that the next time you think C.D. it will stand for CAN DO!!!!!

Lots of love until next week,

take care,

Noreen.

Country Village

The Country Village Toppers feature beautiful artwork and are so fun to embellish! Here's a simple card I made from the Cottages kit. I cut out the foreground panel first, then layered the two panels together to die cut them (I used Spellbinders Labels 8). Next I embossed and debossed with a large ball stencil, cut out the door area, and used a glitter pen on the windows. I used Flower Soft on several of the floral areas - to the vines on the roof I added Ultrafine Sage and Raspberry Fizz. There is Lilac Flower Soft on the potted flowers, Polar White on the plant by the open door, and I mixed Polar White and Ultrafine Ocean for the plant in the foreground. Here are some close-ups of different areas of the card, so you can see the dimension!
Thanks for stopping by!

Flowersoft Country-Village Cottages

Another Quick and Easy Card for you today. I just love the Flowersoft Card Toppers. You can create fun cards so quickly with these fun toppers.

For this card, I used the Flowersoft-Country-Village Cottage Toppers. I did cut it down a bit to match the sketch I used for the card and I inked the edges with some caramel ink to soften them down a bit. DP is from Basic Grey and For the Flowersoft accent, I used Marigold and Spring Mix.

See you next week with more Flowersoft creations!

Bunnies, Eggs and Chicks!

I LOVE these Easter Fun 3-D Cut Out toppers by Flower Soft.  The images are the cutest, they come already colored in and you can make your images 3-D or just leave them one layer.

I just cut this little scene in a square shape around the little guy and the chicks.  That great, yellow card base is a new cardstock by Core'dinations.
I only  added a second layer to the little guy in the yellow suit and to part of the blue bow around his neck.  After I cut out this second layer, I rolled it around my finger to mold it.  Next I took pieces of foam tape and put two thicknesses of the foam tape under the middle of this little guy and then placed it over bottom image.  My  just putting the foam tape in the middle and by rolling the image, kept the rounded look.  Flower Soft was added to the bow, to the little chicks wings and to the flowers in the grass.  It is so fun how much added interest a little Flower Soft adds to a card.
Thanks for visiting, Linda Beeson, Design Team member

An Artist at Work!

Any of us,like me, that cannot draw anything but money out of the bank and breath, will be totally enthralled watching a true artist at work. Rikey Austin is such a brilliantly talented artist she is really a joy to watch. I felt so privileged to be there whilst Rikey performed her magic with effortless ease. I have to say that I have always loved her Moments in Time range of stamps and toppers created from her art work. To me, there is a timeless quality and innocence that has been captured for us to cherish and to use to enable us to create our own amazing cards etc.

I really don't want to give too much away this week as I want you to get maximum pleasure by watching this episode. There are a few surprises!

It really is very rare that any of us would be able to watch a creation in front of our eyes, I just know, that like me, you will enjoy every minute!

Lots of love until next week

Noreen.

Easter Fun

This week's Sprinkle challenge over at the Flower Soft Forum (FSC24) is to use Flower Soft on your Easter cards. We'd love to have you join us, wherever that theme takes your imagination!

For my card I've used Flower Soft's new Easter Fun decoupage kit - Each sheet has all the pieces you need to create a layered, dimensional scene, and the artwork is super cute!

I used foam tape in between my layers, and shaped the pieces here and there with the wooden end of my ball stylus. You can get more of an idea of the dimension in the picture below. I also used Polar White Flower Soft on the egg shell, and Citrus Crush Ultrafine in the flower centers.

If you'd like to join in on the challenge, pull out the Flower Soft - you might even win a prize! Post your project in the Splitcoast Gallery using the keywords flowersoft (one word) and FSC24. We'd love to have you join us!

Fireworks!!!

Hi there everyone,
I don't know anyone that doesn't like fireworks. I suppose that's because whenever we see them it's usually for a celebration. How perfect to be able to send such gorgeous celebration cards using this wonderful range of toppers in conjunction with our wonderful new Neon Ultra Fine range. Anyone who knows me knows that I love bright and sparkly. Don't think that because these toppers are young and lively that they wouldn't be suitable for recycled teenagers like myself.!!!
I was so very lucky to have seen the Disney Parade when we did a show in Florida, my goodness that was a firework display!
The range of toppers covers lots of different events (four images, two of each in a pack) so they will be a very useful edition to your card making. Take a look at this weeks sparkling show on http://www.flower-soft.tv/ to see what we did with them and to view the Gallery at the end of the show for some inspiration.
Lots of love until next week,

Noreen.

Flower Soft Sprinkle Challenge (FSC24) – Easter!

This week’s Flower Soft Sprinkle Challenge (FSC24) – Easter!

Entries must be uploaded to the SCS gallery and use at least one Flower Soft product (Flower Soft, toppers, stamps) to be eligible to win. Please use the keyword FSC24 and flowersoft (one word) when uploading to the Splitcoast Gallery so we can find your project.

The prize this week – Winners choice – 4 colors of Flower Soft!

Entries will be accepted for the challenge until Midnight CT on March 17th. The winner’s card will be featured on the Flower Soft blog on March 18th!

Here's my project:
My jellybean box started out as a  French Fry Box Bigz die from Sizzix. I cut the box twice (yellow cardstock is Chamois Cascata Felt) and used a piece of the patterned paper (Echo Park) to line the inside and the strip on the front of the box. I added a line of Flower Soft Glue along the top edges and to the edge of the patterned paper strip on the front and sprinkled Ivory Flower Soft.

I decorated the box with  Easter Fun Topper Kit. These pre colored and die cut kits are so fun and easy to work with. Just cut out the pieces and layer with foam tape. I added a little pop to the grassy area and inside his basket with  Shamrock Green Flower Soft. I fluffed the bunny's tail with Ivory Flower Soft.

And here is a closer look at the tag using JB-09820 Happy Everything Mini Tag Kit from JustRite

Have a great day!

In the Garden

I wanted to share a fun little pocket card I made using the Charlie's Ark "In the Garden" Creative Kit - pre-printed art is not what I usually work with, but I have it, so I had some fun..... and I definitely put my own spin on it!
I cut the partial oval in the topper with a Coluzzle template to create a window card, and I sandwiched a piece of acetate in between layers... so that oval goes all the way through! The card has a pocket inside, which you can see further down. I sponged on some clouds, using a scalloped circle as a mask, added a bit of shading here and there with a Sepia pencil, and sponged the edges... of course a boy doing gardening would have dirt everywhere, so I used Ultrafine Earth Flower Soft for dirt, and some Toffee in the flower center. I'll just share lots of pictures so you can see the details and dimension here... the kit comes with die-cut pieces and partial images that are meant for layering. Everything is ready to pop out and use - super easy. I used foam tape between my layers so they'd stand out more.

Here's the inside............

Thanks for stopping by!

Neon signs with Neon Ultra Fine!!!!

Well, "now for something completely different" is something we often say in the North East. It kinda means "wow look at this".

When you look at the card below you will see what I mean! The range of Neon Sign toppers are very adaptable. You will see on the programme that there is something there for both male and female and for all age groups too,(even re-cycled teenagers like me would appreciate receiving one of these cards).

The pack consists of four designs, and you get two of each in the pack. There are four Neon colours, take a look on http://www.flower-soft.tv/ to see what they are. Don't forget to watch the gallery of cards at the end to get some inspiration on how to use your toppers and then you will be inspired to go forward to do your own thing too! I love the fact that you get so many "extras" on each sheet so that you can stretch your card making to the max!

Hope you enjoy the show,

Lots of love until next time,

Noreen.

Thinking of You

Die Cut Dimensions make it easy to put a beautiful card together quickly! On this card I've added dimension from the back of the topper using a large stylus (click HERE for a tutorial). The stamped sentiment is from Heartfelt Creations. I used Polar White Flower Soft for some additional texture.

Have you entered a card in our Spring Sprinkle Challenge yet?! We'd love to have you join us!
