Hope You Can Cling To

Flower Soft is one of the sponsors for Splitcoaststampers' annual card drive known as Hope You Can Cling To. Through a month-long series of challenges, participants create cards that are donated to the UT MD Austin Cancer Center so that patients in the breast cancer center can receive and share encouragement through the gift of a handmade card. You can find out more information about the card drive and challenges HERE.
Here is one of the cards I made as a sample for an upcoming challenge, using Diecut Dimensionals Wildflowers - the preprinted and diecut elements of the set are perfect for quick and beautiful cards. I cut a hole in the precut oval shape to frame the sentiment (smARTworks), and layered additional roses over the ones on the oval. Each flower was shaped with a large stylus. (For a tutorial, you can visit this post.) I sprinkled Ultrafine Sand Flower Soft in each flower center.

Thanks for visiting!

You Are Beautiful...

Flower Soft is sponsoring this week's sketch (#216) over at Card Positioning Systems - here's the sketch, and my card. I used the Die Cut Dimensions Wildflowers kit for my main panel, adding dimension by embossing it with a stylus from the back, and adding a few extra flowers to the scene. I used Polar White, Koala Grey, and Black Flower Soft in the flower centers. The sentiment stamps are from For the Luv of Art, a sweet little set called "La Mode." I colored the pearls to match with a Touch Twin Marker.
If you'd like to play along with the sketch challenge for a chance to win a prize from Flower Soft, remember to post a link over at the challenge post at Card Positioning Systems!

Thinking of You

Die Cut Dimensions make it easy to put a beautiful card together quickly! On this card I've added dimension from the back of the topper using a large stylus (click HERE for a tutorial). The stamped sentiment is from Heartfelt Creations. I used Polar White Flower Soft for some additional texture.

Have you entered a card in our Spring Sprinkle Challenge yet?! We'd love to have you join us!

Tutorial: Die Cut Dimensions - adding dimension

Thought I'd show some photos of the process of creating the focal panel on this card. You can find other card details by clicking here.
This concept is one I have used on many stamped images lately to add dimension... the bonus here is having the cuts already made for you! Hope this gives you some ideas for your dimensional projects!

Die Cut Dimensions

I'm sure there will be much more information coming on these new products in the near future, but I wanted to share this card I made with the new Die Cut Dimensions Wildflowers! This is a super-versatile preprinted die-cut kit that will stretch to embellish many, many projects. I'll have a photo tutorial soon, to show how you can add realistic dimension to your flowers. For now, here's my card! All stamps are from Impression Obsession. I used glass microbeads and Polar White Flower Soft in the flower centers to add texture and dimension.
Keep your eyes peeled for more new products coming your way soon... there are some sneak peeks at Flower Soft's Facebook page!
