Meet Dawn

I would like to introduce you to one of our newest team members, Dawn Lusk.

Dawn is such a talented paper crafter. I have had the privilege of working with her in the past on the Splitcoast Stampers design team. Take a peek at one of her beautiful creations....

LOVE this. The ribbon on the bouquet is such an elegant touch.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Back soon with more.

Have a good one!

Country Village

The Country Village Toppers feature beautiful artwork and are so fun to embellish! Here's a simple card I made from the Cottages kit. I cut out the foreground panel first, then layered the two panels together to die cut them (I used Spellbinders Labels 8). Next I embossed and debossed with a large ball stencil, cut out the door area, and used a glitter pen on the windows. I used Flower Soft on several of the floral areas - to the vines on the roof I added Ultrafine Sage and Raspberry Fizz. There is Lilac Flower Soft on the potted flowers, Polar White on the plant by the open door, and I mixed Polar White and Ultrafine Ocean for the plant in the foreground. Here are some close-ups of different areas of the card, so you can see the dimension!
Thanks for stopping by!

All that glitters........

The new Gold and Silver Flower Soft is super sparkly and dimensional, chunky and glittery - very fun stuff! In digging through my box of Christmas stamps, I found this stamp (Camel and King), by Stamping Sensations - part of a nativity set I picked up as a full sheet at a convention several years ago.

The image is watercolored using reinkers, Derwent watercolor pencils, and an Inktense pencil as well. I used some small gold rhinestones and gold Peel-Offs as embellishments too. There is also Ocean Ultrafine Flower Soft on the collar of the king's robe. The background ink is Adirondack Denim - its color components tend to separate when oversaturated with water, which I think is sort of cool. See those couple areas of purple?

In the close-up you can see the gold trim better...

Merry Christmas to you -----

Just a Touch..............

Even just a little dash of flower soft can enhance an image that you're working with. As you can see with this card, it took very little flower soft to create additional dimension. I think Misery Stella looks like she's having a Monday! Speaking of which, I am running REALLY late this morning so I'll make this short and sweet. I used Ultrafine Ocean, one of the new colours from Flowersoft, as well as Ultrafine Sage on my card. In addition, I created the pretty gold border with the fun peel off stickers that you can find here
