Grows with Love

This week's Sprinkle challenge over at the Flower Soft Forum (FSC29) is to use Flower Soft on cards that feature ovals. We'd love to have you join us, wherever that theme takes your imagination! I sort of missed the last challenge to make a frilly feminine card (FSC28), so I combined the two challenges.I watercolored this stamp called Grows with Love using reinkers, then cut out the image using an oval cutting template. I added dimension to the stamped piece by adding Flower Soft (Ultrafine Sage, Ultrafine Raspberry Fizz, Baby Pink); I also cut along the bottom of the dress and around the sleeve and bow, embossed from behind, then popped up those areas with foam tape.

Go fly a Kite

Happy Monday!!! My apologies for not posting much in the last few weeks, but i'm catching up and have a fun share for you today! I am a huge fan of Flowersofts' Moments in Time Stamps. The images are so sweet and lovely for colouring. I coloured The Kite stamp with my Copic Markers adding some sponging for the sky, white gel pen for highlights and of course some Meadow for dimension.

For the sentiment, I separated the sentiment from the small kite and mounted it to the side of the image! Fun card for a fun boy! The DP from the Playtime Stack from DCWV worked perfectly with the Garden Green background.

whole or part?

Just wanted to share how versatile the Charlie's Ark "I Love You" set can be - here are two cards I created using the same set:The first card is watercolored using reinkers, as a winter scene (with Polar White snow and an Ultrafine Sage shag carpet!).

A card in the Flower Soft idea gallery inspired the second card - it was a bit tedious, but I love the results. I wanted to use just part of the "I Love You" image so I carefully colored just Charlie with a Marvy LePlume II marker. (If you didn't want to have to be so careful with a marker, you could stamp the whole image, and just cut Charlie out.) I used my Stamp-a-ma-jig to position the bird on Charlie's finger (the bird is from one of the Moments in Time Christmas sets, called Little Friend), and also colored just his outline with a marker. I colored the image with Touch Twin Markers.

Hope this inspires you to look at your stamps in a different way today!

Flower Soft and Card Positioning Systems

This little guy is from Flower Soft's Moments in Time stamp line - the set is called Best Fishes. I did my watercoloring with reinkers, and I attempted a little lake scene behind him as well, then stamped Porcelain Crackle (Impression Obsession) over the whole scene for a vintaged look. The little border I tucked in is cut with a Fiskars rotary cutter. I used the sketch from CPS (#200) this week - Flower Soft is this week's sponsor, so if you're looking to increase your stash of fluffy stuff, check there for another chance to win!

I used teeny strips of paper to 'thread' my buttons... I did use Flower Soft on my card, but only a tiny bit - right at the 'splash' where his fishing line meets the water, there's a pinch of Polar White.

Friends brighten our lives....

One more winter card for this last Tuesday of the year!

I stamped and masked the Singers image (from Flower Soft's 'Moments in Time' stamp line), then stamped over the image lightly with Cover-a-Card stamps from Impression Obsession, and sponged the edges. The sentiment is from smARTworks. The image is watercolored with reinkers, then shaded with Derwent watercolor pencils. Here's a close-up on the girlies... I love these stamps!

FSC15 Flower Soft Sprinkle Challenge

This week’s Flower Soft Sprinkle Challenge (FSC15) – Last Minute Holiday Cards!

Entries must be uploaded to the SCS gallery and use at least one Flower Soft product (Flower Soft, toppers, stamps) to be eligible to win. Please use the keyword FSC15 and flowersoft (one word) when uploading to the gallery so we can find your project.

I used a Moments in Time (Christmas Spirit) Flower Soft card topper. I added a little extra shading using Broken China ink and added Polar White Flower Soft for my snow. 

This card was done in about 15 minutes...gotta love the card toppers!

Little Friend

I'd like to share one of the cards I made using a Christmas set from the Moments in Time line called Little Friend. I love the sentiment of this image, and look - she is feeding the bird chocolate chip cookies! So cute. The image is watercolored with Ranger reinkers, which I mixed with a drop or two of Shimmerz paints.
I used Polar White Flower Soft on the trim of the girl's hat and boots, and sprinkled some prisma glitter in those areas while the glue was still wet. Can you see it in the close-ups below? I love that extra sparkle.

Once Upon a Christmas

What do you think of this image? Let it Snow is one of the latest release images in the Moments in Time Collection. I am LOVING all the new wintery products that Flower Soft is coming out with! I coloured my image with Copic Markers, Sponged some light blue-grey ink to the edges of the image and added a little bit of Polar White Flower soft to add some dimension to the snow.




I really like the curved sentiment, I think it adds some interest to the overall design. Don't forget that Wed you can visit the Design Team Blogs to see some fun and exciting projects!

I colored the image with Copic markers and then added and Christmas Green Flower Soft for the grass. The background paper is a soon to be released item from Flower Soft. New papers to match all the Moments in Time stamp sets and Toppers!

I took the grass edge a bit beyond the picture to make it a little more interesting. Here is a close up:

Just For You

Hi! Jeanne here today with a colorful Moments in Time stamped card.

I used the  Just For You (Moments in Time) stamp set for today’s card. Isn’t she sweet?

I colored the image with Copic markers and then added Summer Mix Flower Soft to her bouquet and Christmas Green Flower Soft (with a wee bit of Shamrock Green) for the grass.

The matching Flower Soft corner was made by adding Flower Soft Glue directly from the bottle and then sprinkling on Summer Mix Flower Soft. Here’s a closer at her bouquet:
