Happy holidays!

Hi, everyone, it's Dina.....! It's my first time posting over here, so I feel a little funny... but you'll be seeing me every Tuesday here at the Flower Soft blog now, so I hope you like what you see! Since we're moving into December (where did the year go?), I thought I'd share a holiday card - this is a stamp from Impression Obsession called Goldie on Ornament. I colored the image with Prismacolor pencils.Because I didn't want to lose the detail of the ears, I used the Ultra-fine Sand Flower Soft a bit more sparingly than normal so some of the shading and lines would show through. I used Polar White Flower Soft on the rim and ball of his hat...I've found that I like the look of a couple of layers of Polar White - after the first round is dry, you can go back and add more glue and Flower Soft over the top for more dimension. (Note - do wait until the glue from your first layer is dry, or you will end up with a fluffy mess at the tip of your glue bottle. Don't ask me how I know.)

Happy crafting!
Dina

Just a Touch..............

Even just a little dash of flower soft can enhance an image that you're working with. As you can see with this card, it took very little flower soft to create additional dimension. I think Misery Stella looks like she's having a Monday! Speaking of which, I am running REALLY late this morning so I'll make this short and sweet. I used Ultrafine Ocean, one of the new colours from Flowersoft, as well as Ultrafine Sage on my card. In addition, I created the pretty gold border with the fun peel off stickers that you can find here

Ageless Elegance

Ok so who is moving the days faster than they were before? It is totally unreal how fast the pace is racing towards the holidays! Or is it really just me that feels like that? I hope not!

Anyway, back to what I should be talking about, Vintage Christmas!

The Vintage Christmas range of toppers and taglets have the most amazing timeless elegance that continues to create the most gorgeous cards you will be forever proud of. The images stand out from other Christmas ranges because of the quality of the design, the art work is stunning, and even after having this range out for quite a few years it is still as popular among our customers as it always was.

The range consists of the Vintage Christmas Lamposts which have two designs in, five of each design. So amazingly you get ten fantastic lamposts to work with.

The Vintage Christmas Taglets come in two strips, five of each, so if you were using one image to make a card, you could get THIRTY cards!

The other toppers in the range are our Vintage Christmas Toppers, again you get ten images, this time each one is a different design for you to create your own individual masterpiece.

I really would be hard pressed to say which pack I like the best, every image is truly gorgeous.

Tune in to see what Sheena does to place her own individual style onto the Vintage Lampost and to see the other cards in the gallery to give you even more inspiration!

Hope you enjoy seeing this weeks edition as much as we did making it.

Take care until next time

Lots of love, Noreen.

Counting Down to Christmas!

Christmas is coming faster than I can handle! I'll probably be sharing a lot of Holiday Projects with you between now and then as I'm trying to get everything completed in time!

One of my Best Girlfriends in the whole wide world came down for a visit last weekend. She always manages to come with a very cool project idea and quite often the ideas come from another good friend. I'm not quite sure where Kim got this idea, but it's an altered clipboard advent Calendar. Do you see the panel where the tags seem to be hanging freestyle? Well behind that panel is a small circular piece of lightweight metal, from which you can hang the tags, that have tiny magnets attached to the back. Most of the letters, tags and accessories are cut with my Cricut and the Christmas and Story Book Cartridges. I used the Silver Flower Soft to create that pretty line of tinsel between the stripe and tree patterned paper. Silver AND Gold are the two newest colours in the Flower Soft Line. Except for the cutting, this project was relatively easy to make...........now just to find a girly girl to give it to!

To those of my American friends celebrating Thanksgiving later this week, I wish you a safe and happy Holiday!

Happy Crafting!

Vicki

Snow Globes

This weeks http://www.flower-soft.tv/ will really inspire you as well as giving you some really fun ideas.

I think of all the projects I have done so far the Snow Globes have by far been the most versatile and fun projects ever!

The Display Globes can be used in so many different ways from the really cute and gorgeous shaker cards with Polar White Flower Soft inside to the elegant and stunning looks achieved by placing a floral arrangement inside made using your Flower Soft wires.

I really don't know anyone who can resist picking up a shaker card and watching the snow fall inside!

No matter what age you've just got to do it!

Have a look at what you will be able to achieve so easily when shown how to assemble your card. I just know you will be pleased to make and send these fantastic cards!

Enjoy! I just know you are going to LOVE these cards.

Until next time, take care,

Noreen

I used "The Gift" from the Flower Soft Moments in time Collection.

I coloured the image with Copic Markers. The outline of the "sky" is done with Prism Pencils. I added some Polar White Flower Soft to the snow. The DP is from the Basic Grey, Jovial Collection.

"The Holly and the Ivy"

Hi to all you creative crafters out there! It's getting closer and closer to the 25th December isn't it?

I really love a traditional Christmas but sometimes find the build up can be just a LITTLE fraught! This weeks http://www.flower-soft.tv/ is all about our gorgeous range of Holly and Ivy Toppers and Taglets. With five each of two designs in the toppers pack and five each of two strips of designs in the taglets they really do represent amazing value for money, especially when you already know of the quality that we constantly maintain.

The Holly and Ivy range is so crisp and clean in the design that you can't help but make really professional looking cards.

I like to team them up with our new Sage Green Ultra Fine and our fabulous new Diamond Range Silver Flower Soft.

There are so many ways to use the taglets to great effect, e.g. Gift tags and also singly to make the sweetest cards, and of course in making waterfall cards they are the perfect size.

This weeks card using them is different again, as you can see.

Make sure you tune in to see exactly what Sheena does when she gets her hands on a pack of the Holly and Ivy Toppers! I know you will enjoy every minute using and creating amazing looking cards for you friends and family.

Until next week, stay well,

lots of love, Noreen

Sparkly Snow

There isn't a better or prettier way to add snow to a card or project then with the Polar Ice Flower Soft. To make it even better and more sparkly, I added in some of the NEW Silver Flower Soft.
The main piece to my little snowman card is one of the NEW Charlie's Ark toppers.  That along with these great, golden yellow papers by Graphic 45 set the stage for a cute little snow scene.
If you take a  look at the Charlie's Ark toppers, you will see that they come in various shades of Sepia. They are yummy all by themselves, but I added just the slightest hint of color with some Copic markers in very light shades.
Here is a close up of my Polar Ice and Silver Flower Soft for my snow.  There is snow in the printed topper, I just used the Tacky Glue in some places and added the white. When that was dry, I did the same and this time used the Silver Flower Soft. I love the little combination together.

Thanks for visiting, Linda Beeson, Design Team Member
